Notes from June 9th Booster Meeting
Hey everyone,
I was really glad to see you at the meeting last week. For those who couldn’t attend you were missed. I am going to briefly go over a little of what we talked about.
We started the meeting by talking a little about who the SOT booster club is and what our function is. We went over some of the rules for fundraising and how monies are disbursed and can be used. I have a copy of this form at the gym if anyone would like to have one.
We then talked about the need for some Board members to oversee the group since we are getting so large. They will help ever see and divide responsibilities, help train and develop members to take over in the future and provide a source of accountability.
We made note of what fees are coming due. June 22nd will be a $75.00 uniform deposit and July 20th camp and campwear fees will be due.
We talked about Big Sis/Bro- Little Sis/Bro gifts now being taken on by the Booster Club. Each SOT member will turn in $10.00 per competition to the Booster Club and the club will provide a gift for each cheerleader. A committee was formed to take on this task.
We discussed some of the fundraisers we held last year and divided up into group to talk about what fundraisers we might want to take on this year. Listed below are a few of the ideas we are going to start with.
1) Sponsorships: Forms are available at the gym. Starts now and runs until Sept 7th.
2) Grill Fundraiser: Starts Monday, June 14 and runs til Tuesday June 29th.
3) Candle sales will begin in August

2) SOT Directory
3) Car Wash
4) Discount Cards
5) Scratch off cards
6) Saturday Shopping day (before Christmas)
7) Gym Pictures
8) Gym Showoffs
9) Host a competition
Next meeting date will be WEDNESDAY, JULY 7TH at 7:30pm.
